CPCS CLASS - gathering with the community and parents in Dolakha
Launched in 2003,
CLASS is a prevention program that consists in responding to different
realities on the street and working directly on their foundations: village
problems, domestic violence, social exclusion, consumption of alcohol or drugs,
absence of family planning, etc. The precise aim of CLASS is to address the
multiple problems and risks met by children in certain cities in Nepal where
the phenomenon is triggered. Children are at a risk of being victims of
domestic violence, social exclusion, drug abuse or lack of family planning.
These are some of the reasons why children often try to escape from their
village to seek refuge elsewhere. That is why CPCS tries to stop the flow of
children at the source and reduce their number by encouraging and sustaining
their education.
Lancé en 2003, CLASS est un
programme de prévention qui consiste à répondre aux différentes réalités des
rues en y travaillant directement sur ses bases : problèmes en village,
violence familiale, exclusion sociale, consommation d’alcool ou de drogues,
absence de planning familial, etc. CLASS a pour objectif précis de s’attaquer
aux multiples problèmes que rencontrent les enfants à risques dans certaines
villes du Népal où le phénomène se déclenche. Les enfants à risques, victimes de
violence familiale, d’exclusion sociale, abusant de substances illicites ou
manquant de planification familiale essayent souvent de s’échapper de leur
village pour chercher refuge autre part. C’est pourquoi CPCS essaye de stopper
le flux d’enfants à la source et diminuer leur nombre en encourageant et
soutenant leur éducation.

programma van start. Dit preventie programma speelt in op de harde realiteit
van het straatleven en pakt de problemen bij de basis aan: problemen in het
dorpsgemeenschap. Familiaal geweld, sociale uitsluiting, alcohol- en
drugsmisbruik, gebrek aan voorbehoedsmiddelen, enz. Deze veelzijdige
problematiek is vaak de oorzaak dat kinderen wegrennen van hun dorp en hun
gemeenschap. Ze denken een beter leven te vinden in de grote steden. CPCS
tracht deze “kinderstroom” te voorkomen en te verminderen door kinderen en hun
familie te steunen via onderwijs en voorlichting.
